He specialises in Joint replacement surgery, hip arthroscopy and pelvic-acetabular trauma. He has undergone specialist orthopaedic training in premier institutions in India and UK. and holds final specialist orthopaedic degrees from both the countries. He is one of the few surgeons in the country to obtain both MCh (Orth) and FRCS (Orth) degrees and only surgeon in this part of the country who is trained in hip arthroscopy.
Other Achievements
He has been awarded both the gold medals awarded for the best out going orthopaedic trainee in the state and the university. He has completed accredited and well known clinical fellowships in joint replacement surgery (Toronto) and pelvic acetabular trauma (London). He has attended Richard Villar School of hip arthroscopy course in London and has worked in hip arthroscopy unit for 6 months before returning to India after 8 years of orthopaedic experience in the UK.
